The CaFée mit Herz in Hamburg St. Pauli provides up to 300 guests a day - many of them homeless - with free food, drinks, and clothing, as well as clean showers and medical care for those who cannot afford health insurance and are homeless. The CaFée mit Herz is a popular meeting place for people on the margins of society and serves as a place of help for self-help: people receive social counseling and active support in dealing with the authorities and in crisis situations. And all of this is done solely through donations and volunteer work!
