Stiftung Mittagskinder e.V.
The Mittagskinder Foundation was established in Hamburg on November 1, 2004. "We want to help ensure that socially disadvantaged children have better opportunities in shaping the course of their lives," says foundation founder Susann Grünwald. The Mittagskinder Foundation is ideologically neutral and politically independent.
The foundation's work focuses on healthy, child-friendly nutrition and exercise, as well as the "Bildungsimpulse" foundation program. This is based on the "four-pillar model" of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization):
- Learning to live together
- Learning to acquire knowledge
- Learning to act
- Learning for life
With its child protection award HELDENHERZ, the Mittagskinder Foundation is committed to children's rights.
